Thrifting Finds #3

Here we go once again. This week has been a great week in terms on thrifting finds and i'm so excited to share everything i got with you all. I did pick up a couple more items but didn't manage to photograph them. Next thrift shopping trip is this Sunday. Perhaps a #4?

First of all, i picked up these gorgeous Sergio Rossi ankle boots with a bow on the side from a consignment store. It's not technically a thrift shop but this consignment store is super generous with their prices so i picked these up for $75.

I got the next two sweaters from the same thrift store. It's honestly become one of my favourite places to shop, it makes me feel like a kid in a candy store. The one is from Thakoon, retails for $450 and i got it for $50.79.

I could not pass on this one. I immediately knew i'd seen it somewhere and needed it in my life. Turns out Lily Aldridge and Blake Lively have been spotted wearing it which is super exciting! This is the Isabel Marant Etoile 'Candelia' sweater, retails for $520 and i picked it up for $70.58. Absolute bargain considering i saw one on Ebay go for $430.

This one is from Manning Cartell which i got for $40. I think i'll be reselling this item though. I went into the store 10 minutes before closing so i couldn't try anything on, saw this, thought it was gorgeous so i bought it. Turns out it isn't a cut that's right for me.

These turn my eyes into love hearts i swear. They're Valentino rock stud platform heels which i got for $250. I was so excited to see Valentino sitting on the shelfs and over the moon when i realised they were in my exact size! I couldn't leave them no matter what. For $250 i thought that was a steal.

This is a pure cashmere sweater by Jack + Jac. I love the colour of this one and because of this sweater, i'm now actually looking for tees in this kind of colour to go with black jeans. I picked this one up for $45 and they usually retail for $200+.

This is a Tommy Hilfiger khaki military jacket which i actually picked up on a recent road trip. On one of the days we were in a town and spotted a few thrift stores. We thought it'd be fun to have a look and i thought nothing of it then found this number. I've worn this so much already, i've found it to be perfect during the winter season here in Perth. I got this one for $8.

Last but not least is the J.W. Anderson X Topshop 'Argyle' knitted top. I found this from the sunday markets for $10 with the original tags still attached. I'm 100% obsessed with the tassels along the bottom of the top, it's really sparked a love for them inside of me. This is the cutest top ever though, it just reminds me of sitting at my grandparents with a tea and biscuit looking out into the green scenery. Just me?

Thrifting Finds #2

It's that time of the week again. I went to the Sunday markets bright and early yesterday and now i'm here to share with you all my purchases so enjoy!

I got this one along with quite a few other pieces from one particular girl. She was selling the most gorgeous clothing, some a little pricey for me though. But this one looks amazing and i picked it up for $20. This retails for around $140.

My next find from the same girl was this mini skirt from Aje. I got this one for $25. Aje skirts usually retail anywhere from $250 to $600.

This one was an exciting find! I hardly ever find Comme Des Garçons at the sunday markets. Let alone for $5, so this one was definitely coming home with me.

This was one i thought i'd buy for my mother as it's a little to big for me. It's the Diane Von Furstenberg 'Boye Deux' blouse and i bought it for $30. This retails for $210 on Shopbop.

I just love the print of this dress! It's from Friend of mine and i got it for $30. I found it online retailing for $349.

This is my first Mara Hoffman thrifting find which is super exciting! It's this cute romper, perfect for Australian summers. This retails for $190 and she sold it to me for $20.

My last thrifting find was this Zimmermann silk drape maxi dress. It's a gorgeous pink colour with a tie up waist. I have no clue when i'll wear this so i might end up selling it but i couldn't pass it up. Zimmermann maxi dresses retail anywhere from $400 to $800. The lady sold this to me for only $20.

New In: Saint Laurent

Saint Laurent Cat Booties - Sold Out (similar here, here and here)

Shoes are something i find very difficult to purchase for myself. I've been wearing 3 different pairs of Toms for the past 3 years because i can't manage to buy myself new ones but this year it all changes. As you saw in a previous blog post i bought myself some new summer sandals but i also managed to buy myself some booties! I have never owned a pair of boots. I was desperately looking around on Ebay trying to find some deals when i came across an Australian run consignment store based on Ebay and Instagram. I was looking through and spotted these gorgeous Saint Laurent booties. I was uncertain about them and at the time they were $395 so i left it, then the next day checked back and they had dropped the price to $295. I immediately purchased them and thought if i didn't like them i'll just resell them, but theres no need for that. I love these so much. These ones are the suede version, i know the leather version has been seen on Vogue editors and a few different bloggers which is amazing as it gives me a little insight on how to style them. But for now, i'm just super happy i've found myself a pair of boots and finally growing my shoe collection a little larger than 3 pairs of Toms.

Getting Ready For Summer

Perth weather to me has two seasons, Summer and Winter. So with winter being relatively sunny this year i thought i'd think ahead about summer shoes a little more. I first saw these on WeWoreWhat's instagram feed and fell in love. At the moment i though to myself that i needed them in my life. So i went on over to ASOS and put them in my watch basket then as soon as they went on sale they were mine. They're so much more beautiful in person rather than the ASOS website. I can't wait to wear these throughout summer although i have a feeling they're going to give me blisters for the first few weeks. Oh the joys of new shoes.

Thrifting Finds

I am someone who loves thrifting. You'll always find me hunting for bargains rather than in a department store. If i'm being totally honest i think 95% of my closet is second hand. When i say i'm a thrifter i mean serious business. I thought it'd be fun to start sharing some of my finds with you guys since i know i personally love looking at blogs seeing what designer bargains others have found.

So all the items posted today are some of my favourite things i found throughout July. Maybe in the upcoming months i'll do hauls of everything i found in one day. Let me know what you think but for now here are some of the things i found last month!

I got this Kenzo sweater from Ebay actually, it retails for $549 and i got it for $54.

This gorgeous Josh Goot top was found at the Sunday markets which are held in different locations around Perth. This retails for around $150-$250 and i got this one for $15.

I found this Marc Jacobs dress from a now shut down consignment store. It still had the tags on it for $1,400 and i got it 50% off the consignment price which made it $125.

I recently travelled to Melbourne and while i was there i went to lots of op shops in South Yarra. In one of them i found this Alexander Wang cargo dress for $25. Retail price is $500+

This was another find at the Sunday markets. It's a Day Birger et Mikkelsen tunic dress, perfect for late spring in Perth. I got this one for $20. Retail price is $260+

The last one is this Alice + Olivia dress which i got from the Sunday markets as well. I actually picked up two Alice + Olivia dresses from here. The other was a floral shift dress. I got them for $10 each. They retail for $250+
